Plans Develop for the Grace Road Energy Centre
Grace Road Energy Centre is the central heat source for the Exeter Energy Network being developed in central Exeter.
We are continuing the development of our plans for the Grace Road Energy Centre, which will be the low carbon powerhouse of the Exeter Energy Network. The proposed layout for the site has evolved following a public consultation that we ran in Exeter over the summer, and through engagement with key stakeholders such as the Environment Agency.
Exeter City Council are currently following their process for the potential sale of the land at Marsh Barton for the Energy Centre. We continue to engage with the Council about plans for the site and are excited to place a planning application for the Energy Centre in late 2024 / early 2025.
The Energy Centre will include plans for an education space where visitors can learn about how this ground-breaking Energy Centre is serving low carbon heat across the city.
