Bradford

The BEN will:

  • Enable the removal of 25MW of gas boilers in the city centre in Phase 1, making a very significant to air quality and health, which will grow as the BEN expands
  • Reduce CO2 emissions in the city centre by approximately 8,000t per year in Phase 1 alone
  • Create a new means of decarbonising heat which is approximately 30% cheaper than the cheapest alternative, saving Bradford public and private sector organisation millions of pounds.
  • Establish the foundation of Bradford’s Net Zero Infrastructure, enabling the city to fulfil its ambition to be the leading Clean Growth City.
